Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines for responsible use of NES digital services, website, and student portal.
01 Purpose & Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) governs the use of all digital services provided by Nishat Education System, including the public website (nishatcollege.edu.pk) and the student/parent portal (nishatcollege.edu.pk/portal). This policy ensures that all users interact with our systems responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with Pakistani law.
02 Who This Applies To
This policy applies to all users of NES digital services, including:
- Current students of NES (all classes/programs)
- Parents and guardians with portal access
- Prospective applicants using the website
- Faculty and staff using internal systems
- Any visitor to the NES website
By using any NES digital service, you agree to comply with this policy. Students under 18 must review this policy with their parent or guardian.
03 Acceptable Use
You may use NES digital services for the following purposes:
- Accessing academic information, timetables, and results through the student portal
- Submitting and tracking admission applications
- Communicating with NES administration for legitimate school purposes
- Accessing program and course information on the public website
- Downloading academic materials or notices made available by NES
- Paying fees through authorized payment channels
04 Prohibited Use
The following are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action and/or legal proceedings under PECA 2016:
- Attempting to access another student's, parent's, or staff member's account or data without authorization
- Uploading, sharing, or transmitting malicious software, spam, or harmful content
- Using NES digital services to harass, threaten, or defame any person
- Copying, reproducing, or distributing NES content without written permission
- Submitting false, fraudulent, or misleading information in any form or portal
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access any NES system
- Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any NES system
- Using NES services for commercial or profit-making purposes
- Sharing login credentials with any third party
Unauthorized access to computer systems is a criminal offence under Section 3 of PECA 2016 and is punishable by imprisonment. NES will cooperate fully with law enforcement in any investigation of prohibited activities.
05 Portal & Login Credentials
- Login credentials are personal and must not be shared with anyone, including classmates or siblings
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- If you suspect your account has been compromised, report it to the NES administration immediately
- NES staff will never ask you for your password via call, message, or email
- Use of another person's credentials to access the portal is a serious violation of this policy and Pakistani law
06 Data & Privacy
All data accessed through the portal is governed by our Privacy Policy. Users must not:
- Screenshot, copy, or distribute other students' personal data or results without consent
- Share academic records of others on social media or messaging platforms
- Store or process NES data on unauthorized third-party platforms
07 Consequences of Violation
Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following, depending on severity:
- Immediate suspension of portal access
- Formal warning issued to student and parent/guardian
- Disciplinary hearing by NES administration
- Suspension or expulsion from NES programs
- Reporting to relevant authorities under PECA 2016
- Civil or criminal legal action where applicable
